Expográfica 2009 positioned itself as the Trade Show par excellence of the Printing Industry in Latin America, by the size of its exhibit hall and by the importance of its exhibitors.
“IT WAS A PARTICULARLY DIFFICULT TIME to produce the show: Right in the middle of the crisis. But we finally managed to fulfill the expectations of the exhibitors without having to sacrifice any part of the added values Expográfica offers exhibitors and visitors as well. And that’s just what we did, said Susana Sánchez Seabrook, Director of ANIDIGRAF, the National Association of Industrials and Distributors of the Printing Industry, organizers of Expográfica..
“We were aware of the many elements working against us: the galloping dollar, the uncertainty installed in the mind of society –she said. But nevertheless, we managed to overcome the resistance, thanks to the exceptional work of a truly professional team in trade show management.”
Almost two years ago, Susana took the Association into her hands and devoted herself to prepare the management and logistics infrastructure to support the imminent expansion of the Association. Thus, she addressed the issue of transforming it and moving beyond the objectives and scope of the trade show. “Until then, the trade shows and events organized by ANIDIGRAF were widely accepted and showed results; they were –in every sense-- successful. But ANIDIGRAF needed to be taken to the next level, up to the strictest parameters for trade shows in the first world. And so we did. Today we are at the stature of any top specialist in trade show management.”
“The global economic situation, particularly in Mexico, set us up to a challenge of such magnitude, that we didn’t even stop to consider the obstacles and possible negative effects. On the contrary, we devoted ourselves to the project with the impulse that being a renewed Association gives us. To us it was clear that exhibitors needed, today more than ever, support, and Expográfica was the ideal framework to ensure their presence, to seek new markets and to make the best of this opportunity and be in touch face to face with all the stakeholders in the printing industry. It was very exciting to presence how, even while immersed in the crisis, the great majority of exhibitors redoubled efforts instead of pulling back.
“Here –declared ANIDIGRAF’s Director—I would like to thank all our exhibitors, who ventured with us and took part in Expográfica 2009, for their trust and for injecting so much quality to the show with their presence. Their courage, conviction and strength facing these hard times, are an example to the whole industry and to Mexico.”
